Taryn is fighting a bad cold for 17 days, on monday she spiked a fever and barfed, not good. She hasnt been able to shake this cough off and our nurse vicky heard some crackling in her lungs, so we took her to the hospital emergency and had her blood pannels done and chest xray. Both came back clear and we she was given an iv to hydrate her and we were released with a script for an anti-viral drug because there is apparently no bacterial infection so they are treating it as the flu. Last night she was still feverish and hopefully the drug with begin to take effect and she will get better by weeks end… really scary time for us, with the h1n1 thing going around… mito kids mostly have comprimised immune systems and have a very difficult time fighting off colds, and when they get the flu… its life threatining. Hate to see little miss so forlorn, her little smile diminished and she just dosent look good, not at all.
